Laura Andersen joined Penney Design Group in 2021 as Controller and added HR Manager to her role at the company in 2023. Ms. Andersen is an experienced Accounting Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the accounting industry. She has a diverse background with experience in financial services, hospitality, and non-profit industries. Ms. Andersen offers expertise in business-focused analytics, budgeting, management, benefits, payroll, and audit and compliance. She is responsible for directing the daily operations of the Accounting and HR Departments, as well as serving as a member of Penney Design Group’s Strategic Team.
Ms. Andersen holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management from American University’s Kogod School of Business. She also pursued a Master’s in Accounting at McIntire School of Commerce and continued her studies in Business Administration and Management at CERAM Sophia Antipolis.
Ms. Andersen speaks French, German and Spanish.
