David Illescas joined Penney Design Group in 2018 after working as an architect and co-founding a design studio in Ecuador. His experience includes retail, corporate, hospitality, interior design and renovation projects from early conceptual design to construction development.
Mr. Illescas believes that creativity and innovation come when you are constantly looking to get out of your comfort zone. Studying and working in different countries gave him the chance to learn from other cultures and the way people experience architecture.
Mr. Illescas holds a Bachelor’s degree from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador and a MSc. Digital Design and Interactive Built Environments granted by the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
Mr. Illescas is fluent in written and verbal Spanish.
